ISFEA Membership Details and Benefits
ISFEA Membership is open to individuals and institutions which wish to identify and support the goal and objectives of ISFEA. It is open to professionals in information science practicing in fields including; Library Science, Records, Archive and Documentation management, Information Management, Data management, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) management, Knowledge Management Specialists, Book trade and Industry.
Membership Categories
There are four ISFEA membership categories as described below:

Ordinary membership (Personal & Institutional):
This is open to individuals and institutions.
- Personal membership – open to those who have undertaken a course in information science and/or have “approved” work experience
- Institutional membership – Open to any institution or organization operating a library or information unit and those interested in the field of information science

Affiliate membership:
This is open to individuals who do not have professional qualifications in information science but working in an Information unit and have satisfactory educational requirements as established by ISFEA membership committee. S/he will have to sign a pledge to adhere to the principle ethics of the profession.

Associate membership:
This is open to institutions and individuals who may not necessarily have undertaken a course in information science but are interested in ISFEA activities.

Honorary membership:
This is for individuals and institutions that have made a tremendous achievement or contribution to the profession in the option of ISFEA members. They are nominated during the meetings.
